Open for Business (www.ofbiz.org) is a Java open-source business applications project with its own infrastructure. Its architecture includes a persistence mechanism, a service-oriented dispatcher, a model-view controller, a decorator view pattern, and a workflow engine. In addition, it includes a data model for developing business applications and a suite of existing and evolving applications for ecommerce, product catalog management, order entry, warehousing, fulfillment, accounting, and content management. This open source project has grown significantly over the past three years and now includes developers and end users in the US, Europe, and Asia. It is a popular choice for building flexible and sophisticated Java applications, especially for "enterprise"-scale applications.
