Presenters: Joshua Marinacci and Richard Bair Topic: Java Desktop User Interface Development (Swing, SwingX, SwingLabs, JDIC) Abstract: The talk will first discuss the current state of affairs, some successes, and then cover things in SwingLabs available to simplify Java desktop development. The talk will show the Aerith demo which from Java One, which should make anyone with past experience with Swing do a double-take. It will also cover JSR 295 and 296 (Swing App Framework and Binding framework). This same talk has been well received at Google, Javapolis (a Java event in Europe) and a few other places.
