Java Business Integration and Open ESB

Abstract

Java Business Integration (JBI) is a specification that describes a component and application model. Do we really need another component model? What are the ideas behind this model? What problems does it try to solve? In what environments can it be used? What has JBI got to do with SOA? Does JBI replace EE? If not, how do the two relate? These questions will be answered in this presentation. Open-ESB is an open-source server based on JBI. An overview of this project will be given. A demo of JBI and its tooling using Open-ESB will be given.
